Lucky Molefe

Lucky Molefe is a person facing proceedings at the Vereeniging Magistrates’ Court, where he appeared in December 2024 following an arrest. Testimony described him as a business partner of the late Mswazi, and the commission chairperson questioned the inference that Molefe could have ordered a hit. During his court appearance, his legal representative sought a postponement to February 2025, citing the need to amend an affidavit after the state discovered a previous conviction in the United Kingdom that Molefe had not disclosed. Discrepancies were noted between the name and date of birth he used and his South African registration. His relationship to a witness was also disputed after he reportedly denied being a relative.
