Nico (document expert for tenders)

Nico appears in the commission’s record as a document expert involved in tender processes, whose conduct became a focus of questioning during General Dlamini’s testimony. According to the record, Nico allegedly approached General Dlamini claiming to have given a mandate to the head of the Bid Evaluation Committee to rig a tender in favour of seven companies. However, when asked for a list of companies he had assisted, Nico reportedly provided seven different names, raising questions about the consistency of his account. Testimony also described Nico sending a priority list for a “vehicle for land” project that did not match the companies he claimed to have mandated, and it was noted that Sergeant Nkosi only learned of the alleged mandate at 08:02PM.
