Calvin Mahlangu

Calvin Mahlangu is a figure who surfaces in the commission’s proceedings in connection with outstanding payments for ad hoc security services rendered by Gubis 85 Solutions (Pty) Ltd. According to testimony, Mahlangu approached a witness to help resolve these payments, indicating he had already held discussions with representatives on the matter, and was referred to the TMPD for further clarity. He was also described as having direct contact with the witness, who noted Mahlangu could have called directly had there been an issue. In related testimony, Major Phiri referred to Mahlangu as a friend from whom he borrowed money, and mentioned a company that Mahlangu was paying from late February to October 2025.
