Mr Bonzo Eugene Modise

Bonzo Eugene Modise is a figure whose role in the awarding of a Tshwane tender to Triotic Protection Services came under scrutiny during the commission’s proceedings. At the time the contract was awarded in February 2022, he was secretary of the ANC in the Tshwane region, a position he had held since 2018, and testimony raised questions about whether he was then a councillor or in state service. He was also a director of Triotic before becoming Deputy Mayor. Witnesses described him warning of possible interference in the tender process and cautioning that it be safeguarded, while also alleging that individuals linked to ActionSA and the EFF had sought his help in favouring certain companies.
