Constable Kecia Stols

Constable Kecia Stols, also referred to as Kershia Leigh Stols, was an officer with the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department. Her conduct became a focus of the commission, with testimony alleging she made copies of official documentation and kept them in her vehicle for reasons described as unlawful. Questions were raised about her involvement alongside Officer Adrian McKenzie on duty in early 2023, including at a scene where a truck and trailer load allegedly destined for Congo were found on a plot in Putfontein. The testimony also described that she resigned of her own free will in July and later lodged an unfair dismissal claim through arbitration, with one witness stating he felt he was victimising her by testifying against her.
