Adv Mohlasedi

Adv Mohlasedi is a legal practitioner who appeared before the Commission as counsel, playing a procedural and examination role in the proceedings. Across multiple days of testimony, Mohlasedi guided witnesses through documentary evidence, directing their attention to specific annexures, charge sheets, and paragraphs within the record, and asked them to comment on the contents of those documents. Mohlasedi also pursued substantive lines of inquiry, including questioning witnesses about the IPID investigation into Brigadier Mkhwanazi's involvement in the Blue Lights scandal, the broader problems involving further police officials that emerged from those discussions, and the circumstances surrounding the Minister's direct contact with a witness regarding the murder of Councillor Mabhida. In doing so, Mohlasedi probed whether such direct ministerial outreach followed ordinary protocol or was unique to the situation, and sought witnesses' opinions on its appropriateness.
