Calvin Rafadi

Calvin Rafadi is a figure who, according to testimony before the Commission, performed a media and propaganda function for Mr Matlala in early 2025. Evidence presented showed him requesting use of a car and sharing social media screenshots about the disbandment of the Political Killings Task Team (PKTT). He is alleged to have conducted interviews defending the Minister’s decision to disband the PKTT, describing it as a rogue unit, and to have suggested internal power struggles between Lieutenant-General Khumalo and Major-General Khan within Crime Intelligence. He also forwarded a link to an interview critical of a Crime Intelligence human resources appointment.
