Mr Sandeep Oudhram
Sandeep Oudhram is a figure who surfaced in testimony before the commission through the account of Major General Anthony Gopaul, who described interactions involving the Minister and Oudhram. According to that testimony, Oudhram was present when frustrations were voiced about a candidate, Doeshiee Govender, during an ANC caucus. The caucus reportedly decided to raise a complaint with the Minister during his campaign trail, alleging that Govender was a problem in the community and that police were failing to arrest him. Gopaul testified that Oudhram gave him a heads-up that the Minister might question him about the lack of an arrest, framing Oudhram as a conduit for these concerns.
