Brigadier Maluleke
Regional Head of FSL for KwaZulu-Natal and parts of Eastern Cape and the Free State
Brigadier Maluleke is a senior South African Police Service officer who serves as the Regional Head of the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for KwaZulu-Natal, as well as parts of the Eastern Cape and the Free State. During the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry, he was referenced in testimony concerning the coordination of forensic work in the province. According to testimony, Maluleke indicated that he had requested members of a team responsible for clan labs in KwaZulu-Natal to travel to Isipingo to assist Brigadier Nyuswa's team, specifically to provide guidance on proper sampling procedures in a cocaine case. His role in directing forensic resources and expertise across units was thus a point of focus in the proceedings.
