Takalani Zelda Maphosho

Takalani Zelda Maphosho is an investigator employed by the Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID). She began her career in the SAPS as a constable in 2003, serving at Sandton Police Station before moving to the Independent Complaints Directorate in 2011 as a senior investigator. She was later promoted to assistant director at IPID’s Gauteng Provincial Office in 2015. Before the commission, she described her investigation into a complaint lodged by several officers against senior law enforcement figures, and faced questions about the scope and depth of her inquiries into the matter.
