Iby Boss

Iby Boss is a figure who surfaced in testimony before the commission through the account of Tumelo Nku, who described him as someone involved in the tracking of a shipment said to contain drugs. According to that testimony, Boss was said to have required assistance with the shipment, and it was suggested he would have known the consignment was intended for his competitor. Nku also described how different networks had their own people and ways of conducting dealings, and mentioned a direct request from Boss, reportedly made via WhatsApp, for Chief Mashaba to obtain keys.
