Mr Teboho Mosikili

Lieutenant General Teboho Mosikili served as Deputy National Commissioner for Policing and acted as National Commissioner from 31 December 2024 to 13 January 2025. During the commission, testimony described an incident at a Macro Store in which Mosikili was alleged to have attempted to purchase household appliances informally, subsequently opening a criminal case of theft against two individuals before later withdrawing the charges. The matter was referred to IPID for an enquiry into Mosikili’s conduct. Mosikili also faced questions regarding the handling of sensitive witness names and was involved in discussions about purchase orders, WhatsApp communications, and the allocation of work.
