Brig Ncube

Brigadier Ncube is a senior officer in the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) whose conduct came under scrutiny during the commission’s examination of the EMPD’s drug enforcement unit and its criminal-records vetting processes. Testimony described her as having bypassed standard procurement channels when engaging a service provider, with Colonel Brian Padayachee noting that she pursued the matter through the Inkwazi unit that handles service providers, a step he characterised as unnecessary. She was also identified as a member of the panel that interviewed and recommended Brigadier Mokwele for appointment, raising questions about her role in that selection process.
